A Virtual World Language Learning Community: Come Speak With The World!

VIRTLANTIS is a free language learning resource and community of practice in the virtual world of Second Life®. We offer weekly activities for practicing a growing number of languages including English, French, German, Polish and Spanish.

Most of our activities are currently for English language learners, but all languages are welcome. The activities are offered by kind and generous volunteer language instructors who we refer to as ‘activity organizers’.

We have been providing free opportunities for language practice since 2006 and are one of the oldest and most active virtual world language learning communities in the world. The activities are open to the public and free of charge. In other words, anyone can participate and no money is needed.

All costs are paid for by donations as well as financial sponsorship from the Oxford School for English, a language school with locations in Austria and Germany. If you are interested in becoming a partner or sponsor, simply contact us here.

In addition to our virtual world activities, we are also active on Facebook
